Our Vision and Company

We are a New York based startup backed by some of the top venture capital firms in the US, including a16z and Craft. Over three billion people use office software that is closed source, mediocre, and clunky. The latent human suffering and waste created by these 1990s and 2000s era tools is immense. We believe re-inventing these core tools is the most important software problem to work on in 2025 and beyond. We have some of the brightest minds solving this problem for us, and want to foster the next generation of talent.

Future Front-End Engineer Scholarship

We're lucky to have hired some of the brightest and most dedicated front-end engineers in the industry, and firmly believe we wouldn't be successful without them. As such, we're happy to announce our first ever "Future Front-End Engineer Scholarship".
And no, you don't have to be or even want to be a front-end engineer to apply. It was just a catchy name. All students who are interested in AI, tech, or anything at all are welcome to apply!
Qualifications
- U.S. resident
- Enrolled and in good academic standing at an accredited US college or university in the fall of 2025
- We're looking for students who've got the same heart and passion that made Macro what it is today, and those who share the excitement for technology, AI, and software that emboldens us to reach higher than ever.
Macro Budding Back-End Engineer Scholarship
